Nigerian songstress, Tems, has just released the self-directed music video for “Love Me JeJe,” the lead single from her upcoming debut album, Born in the Wild.
The term “jeje” means “gentle” or “softly” in Nigeria and the video pays homage to Tems’ hometown of Lagos, and features the singer performing at a local karaoke spot.
“Love Me JeJe” is an interpolation of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 record of the same name and even features a cameo by the artist. Watch the full video below.
