DESCRIPTION:The Walter Payton Recreation and Wellness Center is proud to host its 15th annual Sweetness “Fight Against Obesity” 5K Run | Walk and One Mile Fun Run. The purpose of this event is to increase obesity awareness in Mississippi and promote physical activity in the community with a concentrated effort on the youth. The event is slated to take place on the main campus of Jackson State University\, where the 5K Run | Walk and One Mile Fun Run will foster increased community morale assembling local residents\, businesses\, parents and students around a common goal. \n \n\n\n\n\nRegistration Fees\n\n5K Run – $30\n5K Walk – $30\n1 Mile Fun Run (ages 14 and under) – $10\nTeam\, 5K Run (4-5 members) – $110\nTeam\, 5K Walk (4-5 members) – $110\n\nEvent Contact: Latasha Pusha – latasha.n.pusha@jsums.edu
